Why not give the gift of learning?
FSG (Florida Society of Goldsmiths) is offering a variety of very affordable "Winter Workshops" for all skill levels in January 2010, just a couple of weeks away. They have courses ranging from metalsmithing, surface texture and cold forming to woven jewelry and bead making. Some are 3 day courses, others are 2 day or you can sign up for both and stay for the entire week. The 2 day courses are only $325. These Winter Workshops take place at The Plaza Resort and Spa in Daytona Beach, Fl. I got a FSG discount on a room with one roommate and its only costing me about $50 a night.
